Infinite Worlds, Limitless Timelines
Emissary #1349 log 0-542-18
This entry is to address those who may find this journal, and that they may be educated of how brilliant we Cirrians are.
You have heard of the Multiverse, yes? How there is another you out there living a different life, following a set of rules you may find absurd, taking in sights that may seem like a fairytale, and perhaps indulging in vices you yourself do not.You don't believe it? Then how about this - the universe is vast, and we are simply a spec in its enormous canvas. Wouldn't it be more odd to not believe a parallel World or two exists? That is what we Cirrians, The Outsiders as we have been unjustly labeled, seek to find...Endless Possibilities.
Our World
[Cirri]
Our primary objective is simply to search parallel Worlds and learn about the different ways of life in every Star that exists. We have since been successful in various fields of Science and Technology, even adept with ancient practices of the Arcane Arts. Yet, recent spike of disturbances in the universe have piqued our curiosity and we soon learn of rare individuals we call Anomalies. They are beings who weren't meant to exist in certain Worlds, yet somehow wind up living in it as if they do.One subject in particular that we wish to take into captivity is Yeux Baelsar who originated from a parallel-like World where he currently resides, whose supposed vessel of that World is but a rotting corpse buried six feet under. How he walks amongst the public while affecting the memories of the lifeforms who are shards of his true home remains a mystery to us. All we know is that both Worlds are colliding... existing as one...Our reasons for taking him are justified. For a shard of his arrived that had caused... anomalies to our once perfect World. Every piece of land in our home is struck with various strange occurrences from ceaseless rains to endless nights, a city with ordinary citizens and then a country whose locals can wield the arcane. To keep him from ever causing more harm, we kept him in Eternal Ice.We must find a way to restore it, and the only solution we have is to unite all of Yeux Baelsar. We will do whatever it takes.
Our first discovery
[Kronos]
Mishkal Kohelet's World & Timeline, the Star that shattered dimensions and frequencies, where past, present, and future innovations mix. This is a World that the primordial being, Fate, governs. It is apparently common knowledge that Fate chooses a right hand man in this world, the famed one being Mishkal who had to serve Fate for a millenia. From what we have learned of the inhabitants, each individual has abilities that involved Time, but in order to control the public, only law enforcers called Time Agents were allowed to use these abilities. This was to maintain order, to have control over the people and ensure there is balance and stability.Their government, loyal and devotees of Fate, watches every single being's progress as they grow up, looking for signs of potential power that they can use for their own means in the guise of serving their home, Kronos. After all, even primordial beings like Destiny walk amongst the people and befriend them. What makes this planet even more intriguing is the fact that they live in a World that has what they refer to as a Secondary Gender, where it matters not if you are male or female. We later coined a term for their universe, as we found other planets of similar kind, the Omegaverse.
The Backwater Parallel
[Eutimia]
Ah, the Star who is very much like ours but more primitive. They have a secret organization that has seemingly perfected the practice of traversing rifts. We call them World Jumpers, for they are able to visit a World they deem requires their intervention.Unlike Kronos' inhabitants, the Jumpers cannot affect the when the moment they travel. They are only able to go to where at the present time, never the past nor the future. These Jumpers adhere to strict laws such as never saying too much but also providing enough information to the locals of the place they visit should their mission require it.Now as to why we say seemingly perfect earlier, it is simply due to when their people hop to a World, the side effects are quite... terrible for a lack of a better term. Several Jumpers have thrown up, lost balance for a period of hours, go unconscious for days, and those are simply minor compared to the more... unsightly things witnessed. To us Cirrians, it is easy to spot them for how badly they hide their identities, whereas we have perfected the art.
Unusually amusing
[Mythus]
Yes, we have derived this planet's name from the word Mythos as this is what this World felt like the first time around: a myth. It was odd enough that everyone here was simply ordinary; no powers, no skills of import other than for surviving or doing their jobs. At first, we nearly skipped studying or learning more as we already do what they do but better. However, as our emissaries began packing up, they noticed strange things that piqued their curiosity, and in turn, caught our interest once more. It seems despite how normal their lives are in Mythus, they are amazing when it comes to surviving. For starters, there are creatures that were supposedly extinct or nonexistent; creatures that should only ever exist in the imaginations of young ones or the crazed elderly. The Mythians actually have, though rare, people who specialize in tracking down these beasts to prevent them from doing further harm. Further, we have learned of the existence of the divine and the damned, of deities we assumed were simply ramblings of historians. As such, we kept some of our Emissaries dwelling in this Star to learn more so that we are better prepared in acquiring the Anomaly we desire.
Thy Soul be damned
[Reikai]
Yet another Omegaverse planet, but never venture into this World unless you have a strong Spiritual prowess. We have but a handful of Emissaries who can cross this World without needing to worry about coming back cursed or damned by the territorial spirits that roam their lands. One such notable individual to take note of is a particular Kitsune named Shimizu Ryudo. We had attempted to capture the Yeux of this World. It wasn't difficult to off the vessel for the Yeux here was sickly and physically weak, and yet was spiritually strong. We had to bid our time to obtain his soul, but the Gaiux of this World got in the way. As such, we needed to resort to other means - poisoning. Luckily, this World has its own laws - if you are mates and one of you dies, then your partner dies too.It was perfect- until Shimizu finally caught on and rid our emissaries without so much as flinching. We have yet to learn where he has taken the souls we need, but this was simply a minor setback with a great lesson. It was best to capture both shards of Yeux and Gaiux Baelsar, for we learned they are soulbound, and we theorize that the Yeux we have in captivity may have caused the anomalies for his soulmate is not with him to make him whole. As such, we have no need for that one's soul anymore once we have obtained a pair...
